ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF ADMISSIONS FOR COMMUNICATIONS, Office of Admissions, to develop and execute innovative video, digital, and print engagement strategies for undergraduate admissions. Will collaborate with MIT departments and student groups to identify compelling student narratives and unique tools for digital media outreach; manage and oversee communications projects, including video productions, social media campaigns, print projects, and other communications initiatives; oversee student bloggers and cultivate a rich, collaborative blogger community; review and select undergraduate applicants to MIT with a partial admissions caseload and actively participate in admissions committees; and participate in other recruitment and yield activities as assigned. Will work under the direction of the associate director of communications.
REQUIRED: a bachelor's degree; three years of communications experience; excellent writing, proofreading, and editing skills; and demonstrated success and expertise in targeted audience engagement utilizing emerging digital media tools and platforms. Varied professional communications experience that includes project management, video production, graphic design (Adobe Creative Suite), and social media development and management is essential. Seek a creative storyteller who can transform MIT student experiences in science, engineering, humanities, and the arts into compelling and dynamic content for all audiences.
