Southlands Lifestyle Center is a regional shopping mall located in Aurora, Colorado. The center is located at the intersection of Smoky Hill Road and the E-470 tollway, about 15 miles south of Denver International Airport, east of the Saddle Rock neighborhood and west of Cherokee Trail High School and the Tallyn's Reach neighborhood. Based on retail floor space, Southlands is the largest non-enclosed mall in the United States. It opened in 2005, featuring a unique design incorporating a "Main Street" of shops and smaller eateries, surrounded by larger stores near the perimeter of the center. Marketing Coordinator Position Summary Coordinates and performs marketing activities of the shopping center. Areas of responsibility involve assisting with event development/implementation and evaluation, oversight of tenant programs, budget planning, advertising, social media activities to increase traffic/sales under the general direction of the Marketing Director. Performs administrative duties to support the Marketing department and, depending on the property needs, general operations. Essential Job Functions 1. Coordinates special events and promotions; including working with local groups and businesses to plan community events for the property. May also coordinate activities of marketing and other workers engaged in the final set-up of various promotions and special events 2. Assist with budget creation for marketing related functions. Reporting related to marketing activities such as PR, social media, events/promotions and sales 3. Implement and oversee promotional activities to drive engagement, participation and/or sales activity 4. Develop, manage and execute digital and social media initiatives including annual social media plan to include curating fresh content, images, promotions and analysis/reporting 5. Develop, create, and complete newsletters, correspondence, proposals under the direction of the Marketing Director. Includes e-mail, tables, presentations, and spreadsheets 6. Manage center’s tenant programs including various on-site programs including kid’s club. Recruiting and updating tenant offers, oversight of membership activity, planning/executing monthly events relating to kid’s club. 7. Responsible for updating center graphics including directories, event collateral and on-site signage, as needed 8. Monitor and track the center’s gift card program. Responsible for adding new tenants, update and circulate program documents, update participation information for customer base 9. Prepares billing and invoices for approval and payment. Responsible to tracking annual budget, updating ledger and preparing quarterly reforecasts under the direction of the Marketing Director 10. Establish and maintain positive alliances with tenants 11. Train guest service representatives and seasonal promotional associates or contract services. 12. Provides administrative assistance for property to support daily ongoing business needs; anticipates needs of staff based on current projects 13.
