Full Time 40 hours Grade 051 Center for Education Abroad Schedule 8:30 AM-5:30 PM Responsibilities THIS POSITION IS TEMPORARY BUT HAS THE POTENTIAL TO BE EXTENDED. THE OPENING CURRENTLY HAS AN END DATE OF 5/1/18. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to: Create and manage event calendar Coordinate and execute all promotional events, outreach & support, participation tracking, recruitment, logisticsâ¦â¦(EA fair, info sessions, pre-departure, re-entryâ¦) Strategically and creatively develop marketing activities, processes and plans, which significantly increases the recruitment of participants in all programs. Oversee marketing projects by students and peer advisors Develop and implement marketing strategies to increase awareness to education abroad (EA) opportunities. Produce marketing materials within targeted groups (diverse students, faculty led, exchangeâ¦..). Responsible for brand management, research and execute advertising campaigns, organize market research studies and analyze their findings Weekly/ Parent & Student Buzz submission Manage brochures; ordering and keeping common areas around campus and office stocked Under the supervision of management create, maintain and update EA material (operation manuals, contact information (office and partners), education abroad forms, brochures, handbook, parent guide, EA communication and promotion plan, website, updates and develops marketing material across campus (ex. UR There). In-house production of print and digital marketing. Conduct Info Sessions â“ Work with paid/trained peer mentors and EA Advisor(s). This includes classroom visits, major specific info sessions, info tables at events (open house, EA fair, etc.) Manage social media (facebook, Twitter, Hootsuiteâ¦.): Create event pages for each event, Create and maintain group pages, keep up to date with comments and messages from students and otherwise, create regular updates to promote upcoming events, programs, info sessions, application deadlines, student blogs and pictures, education abroad relevant information and innovation, EA photo winners, student successes, etc. (work with Advisors, students, & Directors as needed) contribute to development as usage evolves. Picture Soliciting- recruiting pictures, blogs, manage photo contest, media from EA students for our website and advertising purposes. Website updates & development Correspond with faculty and university administrators, advisors⦠as it relates to marketing needs (as necessary) Coordinate incoming event requests (hall meetings, partner visit info sessionsâ¦..) Manage all room reservations and event support needs Evaluate and document all EA events or events EA participated in. Perform special projects and assignment as requested by Director. Qualifications Bachelorâ™s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or related fields is preferred A minimum of 1 year of experience in a marketing, advertising or public relations position ( 2 yearsâ™ experience preferred) A minimum of two (2) years of administrative experience preferred Experience in analyzing and disseminating data Exceptional writing and editing skills Effective project management skills Sound understanding of marketing principals Strong copywriting skills and the ability to communicate complex issues Computer proficient with Microsoft Office Strong administration and organizational skills
