Assistant Videographer/Editor Stevenson University The Assistant Videographer/Editor works as a member of the Marketing and Digital Communications Office to promote Stevenson's brand and to support student recruitment and campus communications through the production of video and photography. Under the direction of the Director, Digital Broadcast Media, this position assists in videography and editing; organizes and conducts campus digital photography shoots; handles and maintains video/photo equipment (lights, cameras, audio devices, etc.); and maintains the campus video and photo archives. Department: Marketing & Digital Communications Education/Experience: Bachelors degree in film/video, new media, or related field plus a minimum of one year of practical related experience in digital video and photography production and computer-based editing, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Valid driver license with good driving record: must be insurable. Knowledge/Skills/Ability: Knowledge of basic news and story-telling techniques, and ability to lend a creative eye to digital photography and video production process of departmental projects.Expert knowledge of digital photography/video production equipment, basic lighting and audio recording skills.Proficient with Microsoft Office.Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and timeline based computer editing.Ability to schedule and organize tasks to meet deadlines.Manages multiple tasks under pressure and can adapt quickly to changing priorities.Organizational and digital archiving skills.Works well independently as well as in collaboration.Displays a professional demeanor and appearance at University functions.Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.Must be able to solve scheduling conflicts and work with Senior Administrators, Administrators, Faculty, Staff and Students.Ability to travel to assignments on Universitys three campuses and in the local area.Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed. Physical Requirements: Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. The physical demands that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job include but are not limited to lifting and handling of production equipment with a negligible amount of force required to push, pull, lift or carry various items needed for production. Walking; fingering; talking; hearing; repetitive motions. Not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
